Silk Mohair

Isager Silk Mohair is a 75% super kid mohair, 25% silk lace-weight blend, spun in Italy, and it earns its reputation as one of the best silk mohairs available — a soft, fuzzy halo carried by a genuine silk shine underneath. It's beautiful knit entirely on its own for something ethereal and airy, but its real magic is in what it does held together with another yarn: it adds warmth, softness, and depth of color to whatever it's paired with, which is why it shows up so often held double with Isager's other bases. Some shedding is normal with brushed mohairs, especially early on, but the long fiber staple keeps it to a minimum over time.
