It started with a small herd of alpacas in a Minnesota backyard, and the commitment's stayed the same ever since: make yarn the best way possible, from fiber to finished hank. That care carries through every step — carding, spinning, dyeing — true to the values Blue Sky started with.
The lineup has grown well beyond alpaca since then, into wool, organic cotton, and silk, but the goal hasn't budged: get makers excited about natural fibers, and fill every hank with something worth creating.
