Kimmswick Scarf Kit

Julie Hoover’s Kimmswick is a modern take on the classic Shetland tube scarf: worked in the round as one seamless tube, so it’s double-layered, extra warm, and has no wrong side. Bold diamonds anchor each end, with stripes and checks running through the middle. It’s a satisfying colorwork project that becomes the scarf you reach for all winter.

This kit includes 9 skeins of Blue Sky Fibers Woolstok Light (fingering weight, 100% Highland wool, 218 yds each) in six coordinating colors:

• C2 Midnight Sea (1)
• C3 Northern Lights (2)
• C4 Earth Ivy (2)
• C5 Rusted Roof (1)
• C6 Thermal Spring (1)

Note: Our shop sample uses a touch of Red Rock in two rows; the kit follows the pattern’s six colors. If you want to strictly follow the shop sample, you will need to buy 1 skein of Red Rock as well. This is NOT included in the kit.

Finished size: about 8" wide × 72" long
Needles: US 6 (4.0 mm) and US 5 (3.75 mm), 16" circular (not included). Swatch to check gauge.
